Halloween Fun!!

Beware! There may be an overload of pictures -- but we had a great weekend. Karl and I went up to a friends (2nd) home in Heber, Utah where we had a wonderful, spooky scavenger hunt that led us from clue to clue in the Heber valley. We were looking for a headstone in the Heber City Cemetary, we dug up one clue that was buried in a box with a live mouse! Another was submerged in a pond, another locked with a key.... Great fun!

Sunday night was a family party...

I got nothin'

Nothing much to say... Hope to have a fun weekend with Halloween activities, but here's just a little update on nothing.
My awesome co-worker, Connie, and I are among the few BYU fans in the office. Her granddaughter is a Cougarette, and we both attend the games.

We bought a new delivery truck for the stores and have been designing a new truck skin. It will look a lot like this, we have tweaked it since this rendition:

So many things to think about when putting this together, we learned from some mistakes on the last truck, but feel pretty good about this one.
We had a photo shoot with Karl's cousins niece, Christine Armbruster, to get some useable shots of Karl. She was in the store again yesterday shooting a bed set & mattress for ads we will be running.

So, just regular stuff lately, getting ready for a cruise next week and then the holidays right around the corner so I should have more to post later!

Garage Sale Season, RIP

The season is over, sigh. I have a few favorites from this year. I didn't snap pictures of all my fave's, like a got a Brother sewing machine for Katie for $25 and some fun kids clothes and toys.

But I love these placemats, napkins and tablecloth. Still in original packaging from France, never used:

You do have to see a lot of junk to find the treasures, but that is what makes it fun!

Free at last!

Well, Gluten Free anyway! It turns out that this is a good time to be a Celiac if there is such a time. Katie and I went to the 2nd annual Gluten Free Expo at the Sandy (Utah) Expo Center.

Ther were mobs of people shuffling through the lines, tasting cookies, breads, cakes, pizza, pasta and chips. There were coupons, recipes, new startup companies trying to get their names known and their products in the local stores.

Not sure what the Moose is all about...Gluten Free Moose Guy?

I even found a stand at the BYU football stadium that sold gluten free cookies. I need to patronize them every time so they will keep it up, and because they made pretty tasty frosting cookies.
