Aloha!

I must start with the picture at the airport. Laura, who has never been to Hawaii before, asked me if we will get Lei's when we arrive and I said "No, they will do that at fancy hotels, but that it is not automatically done." So what do you think happens? Wonderful aunt Mardie comes to the airport and puts 2 leis on each of us!!! Aloha! All these photos are off my iphone, so it's mostly not me in the pictures. Why a picture of an ordinary hamburger and french fries? This simple meal was incredibly awesome!!! We went to the Hard Rock Cafe and ALL of their hamburger buns are Gluten Free! As are their french fries!! This was the best bun I have had in 12 years. I begged them to sell me some, they said they could not but gave me 1 bun in a to go box and the address of the bakery in Honolulu that makes them. I learned how to use my "panoramic photo" feature on my iphone, so these two pictures are done that way. You'll notice that Laura has two arms.....on the same side! You know what they say here, "Here today, gone to Maui"

Girls Day Out!

Katie and Maci, Jill and Tessa, Barb and Laura. We spent a fun afternoon at Disney on Ice. The first part featured the Frog Princess, (not a fan of that Disney movie), the 2nd was a cute Cinderella tribute, and the final part was an awesome focus on "Tangled"! It was so fun! Katie brought princess crowns for the adults and girls. Disney has a bunch of traveling ice shows, this one was "Dare to Dream", I would recommend it. Some of their shows are great, others are just so-so.

Rehearsal

This is such an awesome time for our family. We are just relishing the short time Karl has with the choir. I am experiencing the opportunity vicariously! When he first joined and we heard about people who had been in for 20 years we felt that they had missed out on having callings in their ward, no Young Women's or Young Men's or Scouting, etc. But now after almost 3 years, it is easy to see why you would not want to leave. It will be gut wrenching when Karl's time is up in just 2 more years. I am so looking forward to the Summer tour in June. we start in Indianapolis and end in Minneapolis! (Especially looking forward to the last stop!)
