So with the help (majority of the work) of Rob and Jill, the deck is no more.
We had to pile the debris in the yard and then move the pile again. Sandy City does bulk clean up twice a year, but you can't put your stuff out until 2 weeks before. So we (Rob, Jill and Karl) moved it again. The footings have since been dug up and hauled away, (Rob and Karl), and new footings poured.

Piled neatly at curb in hopes of keeping neighbor complaints to a minimum.
Tomorrow cement is being poured under the deck ( it will be usable storage now) and we are extending the cement pad on the side of the house. Not sure when the rest of the construction will begin. We are simultaneously repairing a 30 foot section of deck that blew down, so while cement cures, we'll focus on fence for a week or so.
