When did Hallowen become so crazy?

I love Autumn! I love to drag out my fall leave wreaths, placemats, dishes, mantle decorations, pumpkins, candles, fragrances, florals, etc. I can put them up in September and leave them until Thanksgiving. I would swap out a few Halloween items with some turkeys in November and be happy. But then Pinterest happened, and Laura happened. So I was caught up in her crazy Halloween love. We have taken on Halloween projects, and it took us hours on Saturday to dress up the house!
This little pinterest idea was really easy and quick and it didn't cost anything because I had all the old candles already. I discovered that alsthough the red candles are easier to melt because they are long and have their own wick, the red crayon was a much better color and texture.
So Laura did this Martha Stewart project - shred a black bag..
It's just a little out of control....

Office Managers Meeting

I was asked to help organize the annual Office Managers meeting for the Larry H. Miller Management company. Every year they bring all the office managers from all 45 of our dealerships from 7 states together for training and as a reward for the incredibly great job they do. This year we met at the fantastic Stein Ericksen Lodge in Park City. I was able to negotiate a pretty good price for this 5 star resort, and they invited me along. (The best part is, at the end of the conference they said that I would be doing it again next year! Yea!) The air was crisp in the mornings, the leaves are starting to turn and the afternoons were absolutely perfect!
After our morning meeting we could choose the activity we wanted to participate in, some elected to go shopping on Main street or the Outlet malls, some got pampered in the spa, some went golfing and the rest of us went to the Alpine Slide. (That is the group below)
The weather was so incredible and their were no crowds whatsoever, so we didn't wait in lines. We took the chair lift up for the slide, and then again to ride the zip line.
The Alpine Coaster tows you up the mountain in a coaster car and then you careen down and through the trees on a coaster-like rail. This was the funnest of all 3 activities! I laughed so hard my cheeks hurt!
After we finished, the kids that were running it told us we could ride again for free if we doubled up and they guaranteed we would go faster. That was even more fun! We did indeed go faster.
We had a lovely banquet, honoring a long time employee who retired. More meetings the next morning, and then headed home. Very fun couple of paid days for me!
EXTRA!! This arrived in my office this morning as a Thank you from the office managers in New Mexico!! So nice of them!
