4th of July

We had a great day! We started with family breakfast, which included star pancakes! .

Then the Hales and Toblers headed up to Park City for the Park City Main Street parade, which Park City Mattress sponsored so we had VIP seating (which wasn't that great) and BBQ lunch at the city park.

We headed home then and did some daytime fireworks- parachutes mostly- but these were awesome! One pack had 25 shots with a variety of parachutes, some with streamers, some with smoke, some with Red, White and Blue chutes. The neighbor kids had a blast chasing them down. My new favorite is called spiders, like parachutes they shoot up and multi-colored streamers float down - like spiders. Of course, no 4th of July is complete without Black Bottom Cupcakes. They are so yummy, I even make some Gluten Free ones for Katie and myself!

We have a neighborhood BBQ every year, this year I made ribbon Jello and Firecrakcer cupcakes. (I included some Pop Rocks in with the Sprinkles on top.

This is a fun time to get reaquainted with the neighbors. Our neighbor Michelle had a "Photo Booth" this year with some patriotic dress up clothes, it was pretty fun. Then, dispite fires raging in the mountains we had a fabulous neighborhood show! It's so fun that Utah allows "real" fireworks again, (in many areas they are restricted)
